PROPERTY TAX REBATES
How many more years will Kansans elect politicians who promise property tax relief, yet fail to deliver? Even with a Supermajority in both the House and Senate, Kansas gets nothing but excuses from the majority party - which has controlled Kansas politics for more than 30 years.

I will call for an immediate expansion of the Homestead Rebate program to offset the property tax burden on homeowners - and we'll use new tax revenue from legal marijuana to fund it. Then we'll get to work on rebuilding the property tax system in a way that is fair and sustainable - so that no Kansan is ever again priced out of their own home.
Kansans are tired of getting excuses instead of relief - and the time for change is way overdue.
ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES
I've operated numerous small businesses, and I know how hard it can be to make the numbers work every week, month, or year. While Mom & Pop businesses struggle with high costs of business and difficult regulations, giant corporations hire powerful lobbyists to get whatever they want - tax breaks, exclusive incentives, even additional regulations that stifle innovation and competition.

It's time for Kansas to invest in Kansans again. It's time to make the dream of chasing and reaching your dreams a reality again. I'll call for adjusting tax advantages to favor small and start up businesses, and I'll push the Kansas Legislature to think of creative and dynamic solutions that will ignite growth in home-grown businesses.
PUTTING KANSAS FIRST
Kansas gives away nearly $12 billion each year in various tax credits, incentives, exemptions, and giveaways.

That's money that could be used to build up our state. To reduce your taxes. To improve your community, support your local school, and to help struggling small businesses.
​
While Kansans have struggled to afford the basics of life - food, housing, medical care, child care, insurance - some of the wealthiest companies and people in Kansas worked to make their lives easier. They gave themselves tax cuts, and exemptions on their airplanes and yachts.
​
Kansans deserve leaders who understand what average families have been going through - and who are willing to stand up for policies that enrich people, not profits.
​
The outsized influence of rich and powerful special interests has left our state far behind the rest of the country - while lining the pockets of billionaires.
​
We can do better - and Kansans must demand more of the people they elect to the Kansas Legislature.
END POLITICAL GAMES
While the leaders of political parties bicker, fight, and posture for some advantage in the next election cycle, Kansans continue watch their state and their communities fall behind. Political games might be good for special interests, party insiders, and political consultants who make it rich creating more fear and anger - but it is destroying the health of our nation, and our state.

It's time for grown-ups to take control of state government again. It's time for leaders who can think for themselves, and are willing to put what's good for their constituents above the demands of their party and their donors.
​
Special interests have had control of Kansas government for far too long - and it has resulted in higher property taxes, unchecked government interference into our lives, runaway inflation, broken infrastructure, and rural parts of Kansas that are struggling to hold onto a future.
​
Kansas deserves better than what it's been getting - but it won't change unless Kansans stop buying the political games and look for real leaders to move us forward.
MAKING LIFE AFFORDABLE
During the 2 years the incumbent has been in office, the price of everything in your life has increased drastically in price. It's time to listen to Kansans, and take steps to make life more affordable. We can restrict rate increases in natural gas and electricity rates. We can stop practices like "dynamic pricing" which allow stores to use AI to make moment-by-moment price increases. We can regulate insurance underwriters - who charge high premiums for homes and cars, while refusing to pay legitimate claims. Kansas needs leaders who listen, and are willing to do the hard work of creating effective policy focused on people.
